Juices- Healthy or Hazardous?


Vegetable juice is among the healthiest- lycopene in tomatoes
beet juice – may help to lower blood pressure
Worst – are juice “cocktails” because they are rich in calories and may contain high fructose corn syrup and be low in nutrients. There is an associated risk of obesity with excess servings.
The recommendation for children is 1 serving a day of 100% fruit juice, the actual fruit itself is a preferred healthier choice
Pomegranate juice is a good choice because of the high amount of antioxidants
Cranberrry juice is high in vitamin C and helps the immune system
Red grape juice- has healthy flavenoids and resveratrol
Orange juice is high in Vitamin C and supplemented with calcium and Vitamin D, however, too much orange juice can lead to oxylate crystals in the urine.
Try to eat the whole fruit
