Variety in activity just as in your food plan

In addition to swimming and walking this summer, I added racketball to my activities. It was cooler in the gym while it was 90 degrees outside. It was a fun activity that was sustained for a hour at an active pace. Its is good to add variety to your “keep active” plan. We stretched before and after and cooled down when finished by going for a short 5-10 minute walk. During the games we played we took breaks to hydrate ourselves. Afterwards we had protein in the form of tuna fish with chickpeas ( no mayo- we found it wasn’t necessary).
It was also good to be able to have someone else to participate with in the activity. It made the activity fun and not boring or monotonous.
