Sports event food

Went to a Rutgers Basketball game two nights ago. There was a $1 special for frankfurters. We looked up the nutritional information and learned that Franks are 81% fat, 17% meat and 2-4% carb. Not a healthy choice. For $6 you can get chicken wings, for $4.00 you can get potato chips or buttered popcorn. A salted pretzel also went for $4.00. In my humble opinion, there were very few healthy options there. There was no salad or fresh fruit. I realize that fresh salad and fruit is perishable, but at least its an option. I am not sure if you are allowed to bring your own food to these events. If anyone is aware of other events in their area where you can bring your own food- please comment about it here.
